Please note that list of versions contains only versions defined as major updates. Nevertheless, list of changes from minor and bugfix releases are represented here as changes of correspondent major update version, which actually includes these changes.

Windows Vista support
Remote Desktop Professional became Windows Vista compatible. You can launch application on computer with Windows Vista or connect to clients where Windows Vista is installed.
64-bit Windows versions support
A list of supported operation systems was supplemented by 64-bit platforms like Windows Vista x64 and Windows 2003 x64. Remote Desktop Professional was improved to work under these platforms.
New communication protocol
Communication protocol between server and remote services was changed from DCOM/RPC to sockets. This change significantly simplifies service installation on remote computer, because it doesn't require any additional actions for enabling communication between server and service.
User Account Control (UAC) support
User Account Control (UAC) support was added for Windows Vista. You don't need to launch Remote Desktop Professional using 'Run as Administrator' command under Vista now, because it is automatically executed with administrative permissions. If you are not computer administrator, you will be prompted to enter administrative credentials.
