Please note that list of versions contains only versions defined as major updates. Nevertheless, list of changes from minor and bugfix releases are represented here as changes of correspondent major update version, which actually includes these changes.

Version 4.3.1 [26 May 2010]

Compatibility with terminal sessions

Now it becomes possible to connect to desktops with active terminal sessions, i.e. desktops with running Windows Remote Desktop connections.

New and improved features

Features below were firstly introduced or significantly improved in this release:

  • Introduced brand new Alternate Credentials look and feel
  • Improved performance of network scan operations
  • Improved format and content of Application Log messages

Resolved issues

This release contains a set of resolved issues, including most important ones, listed below:

  • Remote Desktop is disconnected if UAC confirmation window is displayed on a remote PC
  • Desktops are not shown in the Network Tree after a scan, if used account has not enough rights to access them
  • Desktop scan errors can lead to cancellation of network scanning process
  • Memory leaks while connecting to a remote desktops
  • Potential errors during a remote desktop connection service deployment
  • Impossibility of reconnect to a desktop after disconnection
  • Potential errors on the application exit

Compatibility with Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2

This version provides a full compatibility with latest Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 operating systems. It means that you can run Remote Desktop under Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 as well as connect to remote hosts working on these platforms.

This release contains a set of resolved issues, including most important ones, listed below:

  • Extraction of wrong MAC address from remote PCs
  • Performance Monitor failure on connection to Windows Vista and Windows 2008
